There are more people eating rice in the world (China is filled with them) than people who don't...

Welcome to the majority!

I personally found that fools are never convinced by any kind of rational argument. And unlike the trolls of fantasy novels, they aren't killed by flaming them, but by ignoring their "arguments"... They might even think they "won" the debate. Which is more the pity for them...

I can't say the last time. It's been a while since I actually worked on EU cases.
But here's a link to the latest European Commission decision on the method for financial sanctions

Infringement procedure... When a country is placed under it, they have to adapt its laws or face penalties. It can even reach 1 million euro daily. But that's the upper most sanction cap.

Not from Czechia. From EU Courts.

What follows is likely an infringement procedure against Czechia from the European Commission.
At which point, Czechia would be forced to adapt its legislation framework to comply with the decision.

I'm a guy, but I could never play Mass Effect for long with a male Shepard. Watching for hours a guy's ass was just not interesting... So Fem Shepard was always the way to go...

I found it more interesting his choice of name. That stood up for me in the very first minutes, they announced it. Leo. The first pope Leo was famous for having gone to meet Attila and convince him to not attack Italy. The third pope Leo led armies against Saracens.

They don't think that far. There are also people in EU who are living there with their families. People like me. And we don't vote for extremists. Last year, where I am in Malta, Lasconi got 43%. George Simion only 7%. But we don't have season workers (strawberry pickers)...
May 4, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Incorrect actually, most of the voters for the extremism coming from there are in fact from short-term workers, there for short seasonal jobs. They are definitely not interested in integration in EU, they want just money to go back to Romania. Extremism is in their nature.

Unfortunately, he managed to gain votes not only from pro-russians, but also from those who think he's the best person to stand up to EU and Russia... Insane, but people vote with their hopes not their minds. Even worse, there are those who voted because they hate the current government.
May 4, 2025 at 7:47 PM
It's not that they hate EU. They actually only like the benefits. Free travel, EU money, education benefits. They don't like the obligations that come from being an EU member, accountability for where the money are spent, the kind of people who move to their countries and checks on corruption...

And then some...
May 4, 2025 at 4:23 PM
There's going to be a 2nd round between the 2 candidates with the highest number of votes, unless one of them gets 51%. Hopefully, the extremists are going to get a black eye...
