And yet I can't stop playing. I'll take healthy breaks when I just need to step away and focus thoughts on how to approach the next set of cables I need to run. But, the reward always seems worth it even though I don't really know what that reward even is?

Parts of the gameplay are very player friendly (the crafting system) while other parts are somewhat unfriendly (repairing things needs all resources at once). And then the game will straight up crash from time to time meaning lost progress. And early access means it feels somewhat unfinished.
