With a huff, she stood from her seat and approached Jamie, planting her hands on either side of the desk around him, leaning in until she was inches from the Ram.

Alphinaud swallowed, his throat bobbing while one of his legs bounced a nervous rhythm. Much as he tried to keep his focus on the book in front of him, he couldn't help himself glancing over at Jamie every so often, taking in the sight...
