It may seem strange for a DubTechno, Electronica and Ambient label to comment on a “ancient” pop musician. But Brian Wilson was way way more than that and. Somewhere it my dusty archive of CDs I have collections of extensive pet sound versions. The music is highly technical and deeply emotional. RIP

Walked down to Brick Lane and popped into Rough Trade East yesterday to check out the books and music covers. Was thinking about stuff and that stuff led to this article open.substack.com/pub/rednetic...
Perhaps this article was not written in a nuanced enough way. But I do think there is a place for mood music and music has always been used in a utilitarian way, music made purely for dancing is very much that, and there is nothing wrong with it open.substack.com/pub/rednetic...
