I would say that this has become the standard at the NYT… Just check out anything to do with Israel/ Gaza and Trump.. it’s a shadow of its former self unfortunately

I’ll check next week but I’m fairly certain PIF is a LP investor in each of their fund

Not sure LP investors in a fund would need to be reported as they’re effectively not direct investors in a team and have no influence on investment decisions and operations. So no real conflict of interest

It’s been the same about their coverage of Gaza…

The Ontario and BC wines are a step above

Try some chardonnays from Bachelder and Hidden Bench. You’ll be surprised by how well they perform vs some premier cru burgundy

In other words. The US have justifiable qualms against Mexico. They don’t against Canada. The US also depends on Canada more than they depend on Mexico given resources. They finally threatened Canadian sovereignty while not doing the same with Mexico. Very easy to understand the different reactions

Mexico is mostly a near shore low cost country and doesn’t the same resource wealth.

Mexico has more real security issues at the US border than Canada.

Mexico also has real issues with drug given the cartels

So it’s very normal for their leader to behave differently than Canada

Mexico and Canada are in very different places.

Canada has resources which the US economy and security depends on.

Canada has a trade deficit with the US when you exclude crude oil (aka Canada buyers more from the us than the us buys from Canada).

Canadian sovereignty is being threathened
