I squeezed in some painting between renovation jobs recently. Probably going to be January before normal service resumes! Happy to be making progress with #TraitorsToll again. Getting there with the mob of townsfolk… eventually I’ll get to the buildings too! #nerdlings #wargaming

I’ve not had any hobby time recently but I did get in a game yesterday against @derinselaffe.bsky.social really fun to play #theOldWorld again. Just the right level of crunch I think. Game took ages as we spent a long time chatting. #nerdlings #warhammercommunity #warhammer

Not doing too bad at #Railroadinkchallenge tonight… could have done with a few more rounds to make use of the space I still had! Really enjoying this #boardgame at the moment, Dorf Romantik is up next.

I don’t have much hobby time at the moment so these guards for #TraitorsToll have been progressing over a few weeks. It’s nice to have them finally done, another four completes what I need for a patrol and then I might start on a second one in a different scheme #nerdlings #wargaming

I picked up some 1’x1’ boards from TTCombat a long time ago. I was considering using them as a modular set for #frostgrave. That never came to be. I took out two recently and decided to test them out for generic modular tiles. I think these two test piece came out well! #nerdlings #wargaming

Enjoyed some solo Undaunted: Callisto 2200 last night. I messed up a few minor things and didn’t quite understand some others, still fun was had and I’ll revisit this scenario now that the rules are clearer in my head. #nerdlings #wargaming

Turn eight: an excellent game, certainly something we would turn to before Saga. At 500gc the number of models is quite manageable. A scenario would have improved the game, we went with the basic one which was still fun.

Turn Seven: things are heating up, combat has been indecisive with the Mercians having a slight upper hand. It’s 10:6 to them so far. The farmstead is coming under pressure and the huscarls versus my warriors are goi g to cause problems

Turn Six: we’ve been enjoying some Helles beer so maybe some rules are being forgotten! Anyway the combat hasn’t been very decisive. The sheep are still not impressed but the grass on that hill is tasty. Let’s see if the Mercians can take the farmstead and the wagon on the road (it’s decorative)

Turn Five: the Men of Wessex are still holding the farmstead, we decided it’s too small for a village. The sheep aren’t impressed with all the action. So far it’s minimal combat with us standing off and shooting. I think turn six will change this!

Turn two and it’s all heating up on the west of the village, some shooting. As it’s based on the LoTR rules from GW everything feels familiar and we don’t have to check the rules much. So far it’s good
