Perhaps I’m wrong, but don’t you also need to apply the MIS weight for the NEE contributions? For implicit hits the (simplified with sampled hemiPDF) MIS weight is there, but not for the accumulation after the shadow ray?

1) Neither. You could say that it’s file B because the state of the program matches the state of the file that was just saved, unless the “save as” changes the state of the editor.
2) Depends on why the GUID is saved on the file in the first place. Probably it should be different.
