My godson came home crying from school, labeled a bad kid for being a rambunctious and awkward but sweet, smart little boy, and his parents are trying hard to find him something positive to latch onto in our community so he doesn’t feel alone. I am terrified the wrong podcast could find him first.

In my tiny town in Ky in the pouring rain people showed up! I had to leave after an hour because I had to go to work, but I drove back through town blasting Fight The Power. Everyone started dancing. Love to see it!

I very much hope the legal system and democracy prevail. Libs care enough to resist the right way, which matters. But a few folks in my red state are just starting to open their eyes today, and it’s a thousand yard stare I don’t like. Desperation vs. contempt is a tinderbox he just poured gas on. 😬

I commented this to someone but it’s so silly I figure I’ll post it. Stockpile goofy closeups of upside down dogs to look at whenever you’re hit by moments of despair these next 4 years. Something about dogs in their floppiest state is so ridiculous looking it helps me power through it sometimes.

I’m with you, but we will get through this somehow. Pro tip: save all the close ups of upside down dogs you can find, and go through the album if you feel down. Sounds dumb but it looks so ridiculous it’s gotten me through many moments of despair. HMU if you ever need any. My dog sleeps like this.

Uncomfortable truth: We have to recognize that disenfranchising men and leaving them feeling ignored, especially those in the working and middle class, is driving them into a deeply lonely place. I’d give anything to be this carefree. This one hopeful thought keeps me going: I want the world to be better for this creature and all other beautiful things in it. So I will do my best.
