I look to the example of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Yes, nonviolent resistance is best when it can effectively be used. However when it could no longer be useful in Nazi Germany, Bonhoeffer took part in the conspiracy to assassinate Hitler. Sometimes we have to throw our whole selves into the machinery
