I think it's unfair to compare the Democratic Party to UK Labour under Starmer. I think it's absolutely true that the mainstream centrist press, exemplified by the NYT, wants the Democratic Party to be the UK Labour Party under Starmer, though.

I think we've seen enough that if any group wants to get Platner out the paint, either find a clip of him doing the sieg heil, or get someone like Shanna Bellows or Troy Jackson to switch from the Governor race to Senate. I really don't think Mills is gonna clutch it out

I had extra time because of (on paper) slower processing time and (practically) an anxiety disorder. I almost never ended up using the time unless I was cooked either way. What it did achieve was making test day much less stressful.

Yes, thus individual Senate seats will flip (and it'll be impressive!). But we're not gonna get a domino effect where the majority of those pipe dreams become reality because the country as a whole isn't that elastic.

I think people conflate “gerrymandering is unrepresentative and therefore unfair” with “California has the same number of Senators as Wyoming which is unrepresentative and therefore unfair” in their heads.
