Made a pen for a Christmas charity auction.

It's Holly, silver, sweet potato and African Blackwood, with engraved Holly leaf hardware.

Rewatching your video about using the Gameboy Camera with the N64DD while 3D modeling made me do this. I hope you approve. @stopskeletons.bsky.social

(I am building a portable GameCube with real GameCube hardware in it with a built in GameBoy Player. So you will 100% be able to do this.)

It is powered by a real trimmed GameCube motherboard, a built in reverse engineered GameBoy Player and a whole lot of custom hardware.

Some modules from BitBuilt community members make a variety of the features possible.

Scale is hard, but it is hardly any bigger than a GameCube disc. And not that Far off from the size of a GBA.
Which to be honest after being zoomed way in designing it, absolutely caught me off guard.

I'm making a portable GameCube.
It's not a Wii.

It'll have a directly driven 480p laminated IPS panel for the crispiest GameCube pixels you've seen.

It'll have USB C PD charging.
Video out over USB C.
Wireless 4 player multiplayer.

Oh, it'll play Gameboy games too.

Don't forget the handle.

I made a ring out of a sweet potato and salt. Sorta #woodworking right?

Finally, a portable Gameboy.

I made a pen out of spalted hickory, spalted beech, brass, leather and carrot.

Yes the vegetable.
Yes I'm serious.

I made a pen out of blackberry wood. Yes blackberry plants have wood, and you bet I worked it. #woodworking

A new version that supports all motherboard revisions is finished, however due to tariffs and Hong Kong halting shipments to USA I'm uncertain when I will be able to test it. Hopefully sooner rather than later. :(

The first ever USB C power supply for the original Xbox is now OPEN SOURCE.

121 revision Xboxes are currently supported, 009 and 012 will come the next few days.

It is licensed under TAPR , you may make, and sell it as long as you leave my name on the PCB, and share changes.

For the people that for whatever reason *don't* like USB C PD (there's a few) it also supports using a 20V 5A barrel jack supply.

This config could be cheaper as you don't HAVE TO populate the PD stuff.

(More specifically anything > 12V with enough current, but 20V 5A is the recommendation)

I thought I posted this here too but I guess not.

Need an Xbox PSU?
This is a USB C PD power supply for intact original Xbox consoles (Not portables!)

I will be open sourcing it very soon.

This is the Nintendo Dataship 1200.
An extremely rare Famicom with a built in network system.

It's so rare, I bet you have never heard of it.

Let's reverse engineer it together.
Follow along for however long it takes, and I will show you how to preserve this stuff forever. :)

I question if you have had actual real maple syrup and someone wasn't scamming you if you are absolutely sure you don't like it.

Come on over, I've been making my own over the winters for over 10 years, I'll show you what it's all about.

Do you have access to a Sharp Famicom Titler? Do you know someone who does?

I need HD top down photos of the front and back of the motherboard.
If you are able to get the photos, please toss them in a GDrive folder and DM me the link.

Reposts are appreciated.

The custom footprints, layout, and outline for OpenTendo-Twin are done, the same is nearly done for OpenTendo-Titler. Not bad for a days work.

For those that don't know, OpenTendo-Twin, and OpenTendo-Titler will cover the Sharp Twin Famicom, and Sharp Famicom Titler respectively. 1/2

Hey! @seamus.bsky.social
I was looking through photos of the metal X prototype, and noticed there seem to be 3 different jewels? A "Powered by Direct X" jewel, a black and a green Xbox jewel.

I was wondering if you remembered the timelime on these?

Kamoteshake created some PCBs to replace some of the obsolete parts on the #OpenTendo BOM that you normally have to get from AliExpress or other sites.

You can find them here:

(Credit to Kamoteshake for the photos too)
