As Senate Bill 1 goes to the house for a vote at 2 PM on 3/19
* statewide student walkout at 12 noon, marching to statehouse at 1pm, reaching Colonizer McKinley statue at 2:30
* statewide faculty protest at 1:30 at McKinley statue, merging with student marchers at 2:30.

Congrats to Michigan on beating an Ohio State team that was supposed to win by a ton. Disappointed, but give them their due.

In March 2023 I wrote this Op-Ed in the Columbus Dispatch on SB83 & promised we wouldn’t take it lying down. And we didn’t. As the fight to defend higher ed ramps up, remember that we held off SB83 for a year and a half. And we’re not going anywhere. www.dispatch.com/story/opinio...
