P3 I'm saddened to hear of it closing and can't imagine the pain. I hope you understand that you inspired lots of Baristas like myself to carry the torch of specialty coffee forward.

P2 The coffee was superb. It was then, right then as I walked back to the car holding your glass jar realizing that I have so much I still didn't know about coffee. Because of you, I went back to work, planning out my own cafe in detail. Here I am, still broke, but the owner of 4 cafes. Thank you.

Hey we've never met but I tell my story about your cafe often. I reached the point in my barista-career where I plateaued. I drove to LA in 2015, miserable on the drive there and slept in my car in Culver City. I stopped into Bar Nine. Blown away at the intentionality, care & thoughtfulness.
