Prophecy is only 3 episodes in, but definitely promising. Give folks time to finish holiday shopping to watch it. Loving the bleak vibe on Harkonnen life - it explains so much of the power hungry madness in later generations. Looking forward to more excellence in casting.

We already have that in law. See, e.g., posse comitatus. I get the sentiment of putting an exclamation point on things people missed in civics class, but maybe the media could try some basic, old fashioned public education on on a vital issue, too?

I’ve learned the hard way to keep my powder dry on that issue. Susan Collins will be perturbed, but will cave in the end. The real question is whether McConnell will remember Senatorial respect for their f-ing job, or his utter disdain of asshats like Patel, and shank the nomination in its cradle.

This is what led to the birth of unions & regulations in the transition from the excesses of the Gilded Age to the moral & egalitarian reforms of the Progressive Era. Where is the voice for the little guy, being duped by mirages & conspiracy crack-pottery? Where is our modern day Mother Jones?
