I don't know if you have a ds/3ds laying around (or don't mind using emulation) but there are the Tongari Boushi games. I've only played Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times on DS since it's the only western release. The game shares very similar aspects with animal crossing but is more fantasy focused

Ikr? The game gives a lot of customization for the nails but can't put any effort in for the eyebrows, which is weird cuz I thought customizing eyebrows would be important for a modeling game

Another thing that bothers me in the game is the eyebrows, why can't they just match it to the color of your hair?
