On this day, 165 years ago, Abolitionist John Brown was executed by the State of Virginia after his raid on Harper's Ferry. May his fight live on with all of us, as we remember him, and the cause he died for.
"John Brown's body lies a-moulderin' in the grave, but his soul goes marching on."

On Sunday, Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 leader, Ibrahim Traoré, renamed "Charles de Gaulle Boulevard" after pan-africanist and former leader of the state, Thomas Sankara. In addition, Traoré laid the first foundational brick for the late leaders' soon to be Mausoleum, in the nation's capital, Ouagadougou.
