I dance but can't;
love to give life;
Revel in stopping the onslaught of time to celebrate (often: quiet awe) some natural, industrial, infrastructural, or... creative wonder.
I'm obsessed with systems flow of creative energy.

Home is within you, me.
Where is your peace?
Stepped outside, have we?
Come home.
Your door was made for you
and will always be open.

"Responsible"**
Unfortunately I'm done with this circus. My office is a mess hell-bent on leading the charge on our new supervisory rating element of "holding employees accountable".
Responsible stewardship and execution of duty has always been in our mandate. changes emphasize disregard of heart.

The quota in Commerce dept is on 4&5.

Policy artificially caps the number of staff eligible for a 4 or 5 rating. Retroactively for FY25. Going forward it's a disincentive for performance above basic expectations of the role.

I'm responsible for ratings of staff. Remarkably unencouraging.

Keep 'em furloughed and our Census data collectors for the Current Population Survey won't be able to collect employment data for BLS to produce "The Employment Situation" AKA Jobs Report.

Absolute insanity the crump policies have already wreaked havoc on our field office's ability to do the work.

Commerce department has been issuing out furlough letters as of about an hour ago.

6-You can! We can! Look at this beautiful world, at the majestic eyes of someone you love, at the weathered stories of strangers you meet. We can make anything happen, with intent.

5-The vision involves taking ownership of where we are and where we are going-- and doing so in consistent, ongoing, manageable ways. Necessarily: believing we can do it!

4-It doesn't have to be this way.

3-I don't think anyone admits to wanting to be a serf/slave. But we have a tendency to shrink from agency: authorship of the system. The responsibility of governance is too big. We have socially opted to throw our hands up and submit ourselves to variations of subjugation.

2-It is as much their right to maintain possession and discretion over obscene amounts of capital as it is the right of feudal lords.

Yes, please! Of note, N.C. HB 958 would outlaw ranked choice voting across the state. Nuts.
@marcelias.bsky.social had posted, going off about the first iteration of this bill--which included a ban on election officials getting out the vote. (Not in current version but still... obscene.)
