We game to spend time with our friends and tell stories together. We succeeded in both of those things!

Hey, it wasn’t a masterpiece but it is rare that a first play of a game that NONE one the players or GM have played before is going to be a full success. I think that the ONLY thing you actually failed in was not expecting the first game to be anything but a clunky shakedown cruise!

So the foundation of the wound- the people- can start healing whatever this country becomes by secondary intention.

The US, through neglect, has developed a terrible pressure ulcer and all the top layers of government are either dead, dying or useless and won’t allow the wound to heal while they’re still here. It likely needs to be excised with scalpel and courettage to scrape clear the “gangrenous slough”…

And has to be cut away to the living flesh beneath so it can be given room to heal. But instead of stitching two edges together, it heals from the base of the wound and has to rebuild what it can of the lost flesh from the bottom up- this is called Healing by secondary intention. What I see now is…

In health, there are some wounds that go so deep or spread so wide that there’s no way to sew them shut and let them heal into a single scar…. This is especially true for pressure ulcers, the worst of which most often come about due to neglect. Instead, a significant part of the surface flesh dies…

Or wait…. Is it actually just emptying your goody bag across the highway so that drivers will crush your ill gotten gains under their tires?
