Both of the last books I read had the dog die with no warning and I don’t know if I can handle any more heartbreak like that

Only brought the book I need to read for book club to work with me and honestly this feels like a cruel and unusual punishment

Spent the night in the ER with a family member, and I was the only person there-health care professionals included-masked. My mum laughed at me, and then when we left complained that her throat was staring to get sore. She didn’t see the irony.

Just saw someone say that if you can’t afford books and don’t have access to a library then you should just read on AO3. As great as AO3 is, who says they have consistent internet access? They also deserve literature that isn’t a byproduct of existing stories that come with no context.

Your gentle reminder: libraries are a privilege. So many people in the global south don’t have access to them. Many people in the US or UK don’t have access to them. “Go to the library” is only a fix all solution if your activism excludes the global south and those in deprived areas.
