I don't know why but I don't believe it has ever been nominated in the GOTY category? Geoff Keighley specifically had to write a PDF this year just 3 days ago explaining why he's allowing DLCs to be included this go around.

I don't believe DLCs should ever take the place of other amazing titles that could have gone. Especially when we had a great year of gaming. This was very clearly a last minute decision

Geoff thought that the masses would instantly eat up the Elden Ring nomination and he could milk this shit to boost ratings but it had the opposite effect where almost everyone absolutely hates the idea.

As a Latino Mexican it's saddening to see. Even more saddening that Mexican immigrants are the ones that are at the mercy of a cuban/puerto rican latino citizen to vote against our well being because they don't think we belong here.
