Gotcha, this might be a UK/US disconnect too then. In the US left, we know that Temp or gig workers here are more vulnerable due to reduced (from already low) worker protections. Therefore, we tend to reflexively side with them over people with enough economic security to hire them.

who is this person that is all of 'Poor', 'Disabled', and 'Owns Enough Land For a Garden'? Surely if someone owns a garden they also have the means to hire a specialty service instead of a gig worker right? The nature of the complaint changes because it is directed at people doing gig work.

I saw someone making comparisons between Syria now and Libya from 2011. If that comparison holds any weight, then I don't know what else I can do but pray that Syria's future takes a different path. It's hard to be excited that Assad is gone considering the modern history of Syria's neighbors
