This is the best dinner I've made in a hot second. Its chicken broth polenta with roasted delicata squash, truffle goat cheese, and pepitas. Like, it woulda been good with water/butter polenta and regular goat cheese but the truffle kind was on sale..... a blessed meal tbh
Orangey-roasted squash crescents scattered over yellow corn mash alongside hunks of goat cheese, peppered with truffle. There are also toasted pepitas, little golden ovals of nutty crunch. Its spread on a cream plate with a warm tan edge ringed with a line of forest green. It sits on a warm wood grain tabletop.

A lovely red, black and cream striped snake is partly visible through darkly veined begonia leaves. She's about as big around as a sharpie. A humidometer and a thermometer loom large in the foreground.

3 big green pinguicula plants, looking like moist succulents, crown a pumice stone, 2 putting off bright fuscia flowers. Scaly-looking crocodile ferns peep up from behind, while a nearby rock houses some smaller pings and some oak leaf fig. A fingertip holds up one of the flowers to face the camera. The whole scene is about 8" across. A single gorgeous rosy pinguicula blossoms in a bell jar, its own hot pink blossom bent gently against the top at the end of its long stem. It is the neighbor of the first image and my newest plant!! This is my growout tank. Theres two kinds of creeping begonia, 4 bromeliads of different species, another crocodile fern, some wildly leggy fittonia shoved out the side of the long low rectangle of tank, whose lid leaves a little gap. There are also a couple little garbage cans, a sea urchin bone, a sand dollar, and some more itty-bitty Oak leaf fig vine. Love those little guys. They've taken over the Garfield, I gotta trim that thang... I'll get a pic later A snake's head, the width of a dime, peeps out from between creeping watermelon begonia leaves. Her nose is black, and glossy like her little black eyes, which blend in. She's got a creamy collar just behind the eyes, which her lil smiley mouth extends into, but you gotta look close. Her yawns are hysterical. She's also got reddish orange stripes, alternating with the black and white. Beetlejuice lookin little noodle. She's about 18 inches long and 7 years old.

Holy shit, my jewel orchid bloomed!
A stalk of beautiful little creamy orchid flowers sticks up from the body of a Garfield fish bowl. Its foliage is deep green with pink stripes. Oakleaf fig vines erupt from the opening. A pair of hands hold up the head, which contains the light that shines down on the plants.

Finally got my oil setup back together AND its cherry blossom season! Glad I saw them today, they're probably all on the ground after this storm

I was in an art show recently and now I want to be in more galleries. Any suggestions on seattle galleries that might be interested in the weird stuff I'm doing to leather?

Small and sweet, fawn in color, like a fat deer. A horned sheeps head formed of leather, held at arms length. The small eyes open further down, that strange gland such creatures have. I'm pleased with the nose on this one.

Lemon pig

Unfortunately I want more pings
A cluster of little green rosettes, one of which is sending up a flower as large as some of its neighbors. The flower is simple, five petals with lavender ends and a white center. The same photo as previously, but with the focus on the variety of rosettes present. One of them has a red center. One individual ping in its succulent phase, where it develops more, smaller leaves than usual. It sits on a red porous rock.

Completely obsessed with my latest thrift find... she's perfect
A white porcelain creamer cow with blue flowers painted on the side. She's got little blue hooves and an eye halfway down her skull. Same cow from the other side, where she has a windmill scene on her side flanked by more flowers. This eye, too, is hilariously low on the head. A view from straight down the barrel reveals blue painted lipstick, ears, and nostrils, not to mention the low eyes. She has the look of a hungry catfish coming up for food.

Get a load of my fave tomato this year. Heirloom hybrid seeds!
A tomato the size of two large cherries, with several lobes. One doesn't attach at the bottom and looks like a little weenie. Another crucial weenie angle The top of the tomato is deep, deep purple black, and the bottom is bright red. This angle mostly shows the shiny top. The red bottom shows how strangely lobed it is, with a T-shaped scar at the middle.
