I call this one 'contentment' lol! I'm snuggled up in a huge and very cosy mustard yellow bath sheet after using our new shower for the first time. Not just a no makeup selfie but a wet, unclothed one lol!

So we've installed this beauty today, but the hot water still needs fixed. So we can't use it yet! (unless we have cold showers and hell no to that in the middle of winter) 😭

I had a very Norwegian birthday breakfast this morning. It's a celebratory food called rømmegrøt. It's absolutely delicious! Mine has butter, sugar and cinnamon on it

Yule food prep has begun - the vibrant purple liquid below is the beetroot cure for salmon. It's now in a vacuum bag in the freezer, ready for use next week. I'm also going to make lefse (Norwegian potato pancakes) and Norwegian waffles this week to put in the freezer so I can be lazy later

Probably of no interest to anyone but me... but my new sharpsafe (cos diabetic) is a different colour. It's marked 'eco yellow', but looks more like an olive green. Old one (bright yellow) below is in the pic for comparison

It's that time of day again - not had a bottle Oestrogel like this one before. Still finding that gel/capsules as my HRT is way better than patches were! Fewer menopause problems - eg far less insomnia or brain fog, way more energy

Destruction underway (yay!) Earlier today these brick steps were topped with paving slabs and filled with rubble. They were up against the house and conservatory without a moisture barrier and were making the walls damp. They will be completely gone in a few days' time, I am very glad to say
