(im)patiently waiting for my friends to finish silksong so I can send them the collection of memes I’ve been saving that absolutely have spoilers (I haven’t played it so I don’t know what is or isn’t spoilery and I’m not taking that risk)

Accidentally picking a hike categorized as hard on AllTrails and being too stubborn to pick something else despite not conditioning for it (It proceeded to kick my ass for three and a half hours)
It was real pretty though!

I really wish Remedy had added a way to replay levels in Control. the Ashtray Maze is such a sublime experience but you have to edit your save in order to play it again 😭

Following up on this because a bad samba data transfer nuked my entire photos folder (2+ TB) as I was shuffling it to a new service. Thankfully I ran a backup before starting and now I just need to wait for it to pull from the bucket.
Finally spent the 30 minutes needed to set up an S3 backup for my NAS. I was expecting it to be much harder but the only tricky part was getting the encryption configured on the client side. Since I'm moving the NAS across the country when I move, I wanted to make sure I had something off-site

It’s been a long time since my last personal robotics project and I forgot how much of my time is just adapting connectors between pcbs (my budget is gonna explode because I need new crimping tools)

Rewatching the 2004 battlestar galactica series and I got an itch to play the boardgame again but they run at least $250 for new in box without any of the expansions 😭

Feeling like I just completed a sidequest. I was tubing down a river and spotted a phone 10ft under the water. Managed to dry it out overnight and charge it enough to get some contact info. Turns out it was lost the previous day which explains why the phone wasn’t completely dead.

Spending 4 hours bodging a zigbee bridge to HomeKit because “it’ll help me learn some more programming skills”. The only thing I learned is I could’ve just bought Matter compatible devices instead jumping down an embedded hardware rabbit hole 😭

I wish 3D model repositories would educate people on uploading universal files if the author permits reuse with modification(STEP, IGES). STLs are a lossy file format and most cad software will throw a fit trying to import it but because it was the default forever people still use it
