Federal employees holding the line...
January 29, 2025 at 4:06 PM
I'm a federal employee, the last week has been wild for those of us quietly working trying to make it through the next 4 years.

If you have friends and family in govt please check on them. Most of us aren't doing great.

Find your people, support each other, promote mutual aid in our communities. We can do it.

It's a fun time to be a federal employee...
These emails, sent across agencies, compel all federal employees to snitch on any colleague whose work might have some vague DEIA inflection. Those who refuse to snitch will be disciplined.

Seems designed to put all workers who aren’t white men under a cloud of suspicion. Truly vile stuff.
The acting director of the Office of Personnel Management (the feds' H.R. department) is telling federal employees to rat out their DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility) colleagues by emailing "DEIAtruth@opm.gov."

My house has always been hard to heat and cool, Captain had been taking this last week's temperatures personally.

Just bought a ticket to Winter Chill Out at Cedar Point to walk the park and get behind the scenes info.

It will be the 1 yr anniversary of the end of my marriage and it's my birthday weekend.

Here's to focusing on the good, and bringing joy into my life in 2025.

The experience of trying to sell my gaming desktop on fb marketplace because I replaced it with a newer setup has helped push be over the edge to not feel any remorse that I'm deleting my meta apps.

If there was anything that I was worried about losing it was marketplace since CL isn't viable.

Criswell: Firefighter for 12 years, Desert Storm veteran, head of NYC emergency management, confirmed to lead FEMA unanimously

Clyde: gun shop owner who sued IRS, rode that fight to Congress in 2020 in a blood-red Georgia district

One of them has a career based on identity politics, all right.
Rep. Andrew Clyde refers to FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell as a "DEI hire"

(she's a woman)

Working on downloading my media from the Meta apps to leave them behind. Looking forward to things here. And other social media places in 2025.

I've realized fb and ig just aren't where I want to be anymore

I work today and tomorrow and then check out to go home. After 60 plus days in SC focused on Helene I have learned some important lessons.

Not sure that I'm ready to discuss them publicly, but as I process I've got some good conversations ahead of me.

Some have asked why I cut out people from my life. If you voted for Trump you voted against my well being and the well being of those I care about and millions of others.

This is no longer negotiable, I will not hold space for those that work against me and those I care about.
