NHS65 culminates in a Citizen's Jury event at @lsbu on 12 April where speakers, a jury and the audience will deliberate over the future of the NHS.

The findings will be presented to government, submitted to the NHS' Change programme as well as permanently recorded in the British Library archive.

I'm touring the UK from 7-12 April, screening a short film, telling the story of the NHS through 65 locations, asking the public about their views on the NHS and permanently recording those views.

I realised the NHS is not failing, it's being failed.
It moved me to create NHS65, in the 65th year since Nye Bevan passed.

Most recently, a frightening health scare shone a light on how massively under strain the NHS is. I was forced to seek private treatment (out of desperate necessity, not by choice) when waiting lists were over a year for an investigative brain scan.

My journey with the NHS came full circle via genome sequencing at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where I have been offered IVF for future family planning, to ensure the condition is not passed on.
