I came into Avowed with low expectations but had a great time which surprised me. I was a fan of both the Pillars games though and played through on the hardest difficulty which I found impressively balanced. Unsure what about the game people disliked really. The criticisim didnt make sense to me.

I get it, just been watching your progress and while you were working on some of the graphical stuff I was reminded of the Distant Horizons mod and how nifty it is in this sort of game

Most people arent trying to get to know people that much. They are here to interact with people they admire and get inspiration, reccomendations, or news. As well as just find things that are funny or interesting.

Its a very delibrate game. Movement is slow and enemies take up space. Dungeon levels are small enough that it doesnt feel annoying that theu are random. Much closer to a realtime traditional roguelike than any follow up.

You run through Avowed yet? The hardest difficulty is well balanced and it has a great story. Really fun and doesnt present itself well enough in trailers. Especially cool if you've run through both Pillars games
