I wrote this poem in anger over a mug, the same I wrote about in a previous post. It's honestly an ugly piece of crockery regardless of what it says.
Guilty Mug

I've rewritten this post several times now but it always finds new ways to burst out of me. Hopefully it goes some way to understanding how I grew up with a cop dad.
An ACAB daughter and a mug.
My dad has a mug, he got it years ago as a present from someone probably over a decade ago. It’s a mix of colours, some blue for obvious reasons. And it simply states “I’m a cop. I see guilty people.” He’s always complained about it because he hates police officers being called ‘cops’ by civilians. Nothing bothers him about the sentiment however.
