What does "34k+" mean?? Is it simply that the group has more than 34,000 members? If so, isn't "very" 34k+ more like 35k+ or even higher?

Lived in the UK since the early ‘90s as an EU citizen. Despite ILR after Brexit I decided to get British citizenship in ‘20 to avoid being caught up in a Windrush type cockup. It feels like very much the right decision. Not because I expect another cockup, but because I don’t trust ILR any more.

I watched S1E1 and 2 of Miranda last night and it felt completely dated. It came out in 2009 and they managed to cram in trans and race jokes that are unacceptable now.

I remember a colleague telling me BC that once the baby comes you can’t imagine sitting quietly on the sofa with a glass of wine so go home and do it now and savour it. I didn’t take it seriously, and then baby came and, like you, wine on the sofa felt like an impossible memory.

Serious question. Does the much lower speed of a subsonic cruise missile vs super-sonic ATACMS make them a lot less effective, or does the vastly higher payload offset this due to the effect of each successful strike?

I can relate. My wellbeing seems to affect my awareness of it. It helped to learn that life pre tinnitus wasn’t actually totally silent. We always have background sounds, it’s just that tinnitus is the same sound all the time. Also, I find it helpful to know it’s not a symptom of something worse.
