Sometimes it’s because it’s a family—too full to pick up two boys. But most of the time, Johnny figures it’s because they look like they do. A night of sleeping rough hasn’t helped to make either of them look more respectable. Eventually, a big truck pulls over. The driver leans across to roll down the window.
