Jennifer Bilek apparently enjoyed watching Tucker Carlson’s interview with Nick Fuentes. Back in August she published a guest post by Kari A. Jaquesson, a Norwegian conspiracy theorist & Holocaust denier. Not long before that she disavowed feminism. She’s gone from TERF to pure fascist.

Stoltenberg is not only an anti-porn feminist/SWERF, multiple radfem gay men accused him of abuse & he may also have abused Dworkin. Phyllis Chelser describes this in her memoir, which I’ve quoted below.

I had been aware that John Stoltenberg (the author of Refusing to Be a Man) supported Andrea Dworkin economically and that they lived frugally, and I persuaded Merle to hire him as her managing editor. He seemed agreeable and had the skills for the position. I had no idea how arrogant and domineering John was—he was quite the bully.
And then something rather shocking happened. A group of young gay feminist men, all of whom said they’d been seduced and abandoned by John, found each other and wrote a group letter about his abuse of power. They sent it to antipornography activists, including me. They accused John of mesmerizing them with his preening proximity to Andrea, swearing each to secrecy about their sexual relationship, and then cutting each one loose.
John had committed no crime in the eyes of the law, yet he had abused his power. This was disappointing in someone who held himself out as a model of the new feminist man and as the feminist gay man.

But this was not half as disappointing as what Andrea did. She wrote to everyone who had received this letter to defend John with all the power of her mighty pen.
From that moment on, whenever Andrea and I made a date to meet, John always accompanied her. Andrea and I talked while John watched. On the surface it was always sociable, but it felt creepy. When I finally said that I’d like to have coffee with Andrea alone, she wrote a long letter hotly defending John and the importance of their relationship.
At this point I allowed myself to understand that something was very wrong with Andrea and with her primary relationship. I was too heartsick to mention this at first, but when I did, other people who cared deeply about Andrea agreed that she had apparently found another kind of dangerous relationship from which she absolutely would not be parted.
A small band of Andrea’s friends, including our city’s major mavens on domestic violence, finally met and agreed that Andrea was the kind of woman we could not rescue, that she would never, ever leave John. So there we were, the alleged liberators of womankind, and there was This. Sick. Thing.

I've been burned out for a long time. This probably is evident to many of you who have followed along for a while. I had hoped for a long time that once we met a milestone or something changed I would find more motivation to double down and do even more work required to expand and improve the site. But it's not happening. It's a lot of work just to maintain this site, let alone expand or improve it. It's often boring, difficult, draining, or stressful, and it's uncompensated. And it's very difficult to recruit people to do free work for a project that you're burned out on yourself.

I want to thank everyone who's put money, work, and effort into this project. I also want to thank everyone who participated in good faith, helped other women, and added a bit of value to other people's lives through contributing your posts and comments. Many of you have be a pleasure to serve, and I've learned so much from you and so much from doing this.

Hopefully this amount of time gives you all enough time to save your writing, archive anything you wish to, and network with people you'd like to keep in touch with.

All automatic payments will be cancelled when we close, and we'll be deleting the site database and most emails (threats or other concerns will be retained at my discretion).

This decision has been considered over a long period of time and is final. For the privacy and security of our users we will not be considering offers to buy or transfer the site.

Just a few days after reading your excellent "Queer Censorship" article, I had the pleasure of hearing from Inland Book Company that my own leatherdyke zine, Brat Attack, just got refused by Canadian Customs at Fort Eric for "degradation." Gee, I feel so honored! Now we can stamp "Banned in Canada" all over the next issue just like all our favorite literature. If only we could get Jesse Helms to notice us, then we'd really be talking sales.

I feel more sorry for the poor Canadian queers who are under siege by their own government. I talked to one Canadian bookstore worker this summer who smuggled in their Inland shipment rather than have to deal with customs. I admire their guts, but it shouldn't have to be that way.

I especially loved reading your Dworky comments about dyke-made pornography. I'm so glad to know that she and Catherine MacKinnon have women's best at heart when they sic the Big Boys on us. I'd be interested to know where she's planning to put the reeducation camps after her Revolution. Please, Andrea, lock me up with the girls who like to fuck!

I’m so tired of people defending Dworkin. She wanted the state to come down on dykes & fags who made porn for other dykes & fags, especially if they were into BDSM. She said lesbians who made lesbian porn were ”self-hating” & queer pornographers should “be held legally accountable”.

Dworkin Vs. the Lesbian, Gay and S/M Communities
Dworkin sees the Bad Attitude case quite differently from both Devlin and the gay activists. While Dworkin asserts she opposes homophobic interpretations of the Canadian obscenity law, and says she opposes morality-based obscenity laws in general, she is not exactly a fan of sexually explicit queer literature.

"Lesbian porn is an expression of self-hatred." asserts Dworkin. "When it is trafficked in the world, it becomes a social reality, and the hatred that it spreads then is not longer a hatred only of self, but becomes a hatred of the group." Dworkin even hinted-without offering any evidence-that a link may exist between lesbian pornography and lesbian domestic battery.

Dworkin has little sympathy or understanding for the lesbian S/M world of Bad Attitude. She said she did not know what the term "safe, sane and consensual" meant when used by Bad Attitude editor Jasmine Sterling. Dworkin also asserted that S/M is not something "associated in particular" with lesbians, because it is "based on a deep and sexualized hatred of women." Gay male S/M is dismissed as an ultimately conformist mimicking of the status quo.

Other gay male pornography is not much better in Dworkin's view: "What you see in gay male pornography is consistent sexualization of hierarchies of power." Dworkin views sexually explicit material for gay men as being as bad as lesbian pornography, because she says pornography of any sort--whether or not women are present--eroticizes hierarchy, dominance and submission. Again she asserts such fantasies only serve to support the status quo, which ultimately harms women.

For Dworkin, the transgendered are victims of pornography, pure and simple. Bisexuals receive nary a mention in her universe (perhaps they should be grateful?)

When it comes right down to it, ALL pornography is wrong in Dworkin's book. Thus, if stopping pornography mean suppressing free expression of gay and lesbian sexuality-that is a worthwhile price to be paid in the battle to protect women from pornography's exploitation and violence. "The gay and lesbian community has to understand that pornography hurts women as a class," says Dworkin. She charges anyone who opposes her efforts to ban pornography with protecting those who create inequality for women. "The gay and lesbian community is as reactionary and rearguard and as women-hating as any other community when it insists on trafficking in those materials."

Dworkin does acknowledge not all gays and lesbians agree with her. But, she says, lesbians who make common cause with gay men in opposing her analyses of pornography are few in number. Dworkin also accuses such lesbians of having "their own agenda that is no necessarily the same as the agenda of lesbians who care about lesbians and lesbian rights." Dworkin does no leave much room for respectful disagreements.

"The gay and lesbian community has got to wake up and smell the coffee here" say Dworkin. "If they traffic in those [pornographic] materials, they are responsible for the harm those materials cause. In my view they need to be held legally accountable."

Dworkin's numerous critics says it it but a hop, skip and a jump from her statement to the approval of raids, nationwide book-bannings and book-burning of the materials deemed pornographic. Pat Califia charges Dworkin is "advocatin that the agents of the state go after women she disagrees with."

I’m disturbed to see people sharing links to No Status Quo, a website made by Nikki Craft. Craft is a fucked up SWERF/TERF who’s collaborated with ecofascists Lierre Keith & Derrick Jensen. Radfems like Craft use Dworkin’s work to draw people in, so sharing links to her site is a bad idea.

Others are asking how I could post this piece. Obvioulsy, I have colored out of the box that some of you have put me in.
I love Tara's essay for its humor. It is terribly (in the good way) sardonic, and cutting, in a way that breaks through years of entrenched, habitual feminist behavior which reduces, and nearly never addresses, women's advances, and the complex technological and economic issues that set men and women apart.
The BIG blob of "The Patriarchy" is used as short hand - or should I say a short club, to coerce dialogue and thought (expressing dismay or perplexity, or downright condescension, as to why I would publish this essay, instead of thinking about its content, is one way of doing so). No dialogue necessary (where have I heard this before?), no inquiry.
The essay apparently pissed many feminists off. Good. Let it be the start of more of the same, because feminists have been getting away with using "The Patriarchy" as a stealth weapon, a crutch, an excuse for not addressing complexities, for too long. I've been guilty of it myself, though less and less over the years.

I have not been able to address all the comments on this post because I work for a living, and honestly, I have spent years on FB arguing with feminists over this very issue, without ever being as clear as I am right now about what “it” is. “The Patriarchy,” the way it is used in most discourse today is a crutch.
Bottom line, try living without it, try to communicate without using it, and discover how badly you need it.

As Dahlia de la Cerda argues in one of my favorite pieces in Tsunami, we need to hear from feminists from zulos, who don’t have the racial & economic privilege of having a room of their own & so are often overlooked in favor of upholding the theoretical dominance of white US radical feminists.

A zulo is the antithesis of a room of one's own. A zulo is a park bench. It's a borrowed computer. It's a bathroom and a rooftop. A zulo is where the dispossessed write. Those who work four shifts. Those who don't have anyone to rock their kid to sleep so they can drag a pencil across the page. A zulo is a sewer, a border.

What Bryne said is also troubling. It looks like WoLF is planning to use Trump's EO to challenge states with anti-discrimination laws protecting trans people. NPR just let a TERF group advertise their legal services to any anti-trans bigot listening in.

MCCAMMON: Right. I mean, in some cases, supporters of this Trump administration policy would welcome legal fights over it between the states and the federal government. Sharon Byrne is with the Women's Liberation Front, which describes itself as a radical feminist organization and which supports this executive action. She points to states like California, which have workplace laws allowing transgender people to use restrooms that correspond with their gender identity that may now be in conflict with the new federal policy.

SHARON BYRNE: What could happen is, if you're a woman in California and you're upset about that situation, you would bring a complaint to the federal EEOC, who would back up your right to have a single-sex bathroom. So you can see that this is going to set up what could be a lot of legal complaints where these laws are in conflict.

MCCAMMON: She thinks the federal government could put pressure on states through mechanisms like that or like tying federal funding for things like prisons to whether or not states are conforming to the Trump policy.

Penelope apparently convinced her co-author Wolfe of her theories after initially coming off as paranoid. I’m not surprised to find out she believed this kinda shit. Turning to amazon myths is the lesbian separatist equivalent of making up an ancient warrior cult to reject “feminizing” modernity.

While working within a patriarchal mindset , I dismissed Julia's belief that the Amazons had existed on the European continent. She contended that male his-storians relegated Amazons to mythical status to conceal the fact that powerful women warriors could exist; I decided she was suffering from paranoid delusions.

I am now firmly convinced that the rationale underlying patriarchal separations of such roots , as well as the insistence of his-storical linguists that kinship terms cannot be analyzed into components, is a willful refusal to discover matriarchy. Amazon etymological studies can provide evidence in support of archeological findings and myths which suggest that our European ancestors were matriarchal in vast areas of Europe, and worshipped a powerful, primal female . Two centuries of so-called 'scholarship' remain to be overturned by women who can turn the methodology of historical linguistics to non-his-storical purposes .

Julia Penelope, a lesbian separatist writer/thinker & linguist, was a huge influence on my old detrans radfem group. More recently I discovered that she believed that the ancient Indo-Europeans were originally matriarchal amazons who “worshiped the powerful, primal female”.

Our reinterpretation of the available evidence for PIE culture suggests the following hypotheses: (1) the Indo-Europeans were originally a matriarchal culture that worshipped the powerful, primal female; (2) the social structure was probably that of the matrifocal clan or tribe; (3) the terminology applied to female members of the clan was functional--
that is, terms for woman denoted their contribution to the social structure, e.g. 'mother', 'warrior', etc. Further hypotheses suggested by extra-linguistic evidence that are not contradicted by the linguistic data include: (4) males had no specific role in the social structure and were probably nomadic; (5) what have been called the IE migrations were, in fact, the increasingly distant wanderings of the male members of the tribes; (6) the mobility of the males, and their desire to rule, may have led to their brutal invasions of other matriarchal societies and the eventual destruction of the matriarchy; (7) the Amazons were the last of the original Indo-Europeans remaining in the IE homeland, and their slaughter well into recorded history was simply the last of many violent battles fought between the matriarchal warriors and the patriarchs of the 'new age'.

If I'm going to post about the made up Indigenous elder I might as well share a quote about the spiritual chromosomes. It's obviously anti-trans but it's so absurd it's hard to be offended by it. "Toxic-Age" is her term for New Age, which is funny cuz she's so full of New Age bullshit herself.

Males, therefore, constitutionally unable to meet the two-X-physical/spiritual chromosome requirement, are forever prevented from being female--no matter how cleverly they imitate us, no matter how many operations they have, or hormones they take, or lives they live. The fact and implications of this are so intolerable to the patriarchal mind that men have generated much nonsense to veil, discount, and deny them.

True, there have always been some men and women who maintain that they are on this planet in the wrong bodies (and nowadays physically attempt to rectify their error), lending credence to Toxic-Age arguments that gender is not a given.

But whatever this confusion is about, the fact that it is widespread and increasing is hardly surprising. From its inception, patriarchy has been a brawling hodgepodge of cravings and obsessions, bringing ungovernable disorder to every square foot of the universe. But now in its end stage it is more tumultuous then ever before, and since it is universal--the paradigm of every planet as well as the realms of the dead--all is chaos everywhere.

Jesse Raven Tree and I met one day in the summer of 1980 shortly after I moved to the Southwest. I was picking sage and dreaming in the warm sun when a rustling in the brush caused me to glace up. There just a few feet away stood a wizened old woman holding her own sage-harvesting sack and regarding me steadily with sharp black eyes. As I straightened up, she walked over and asked for a ride back to her home.

She climbed into my car and into me life that afternoon, initiating a brief but extraordinarily intense and life-changing friendship.

As if she hadn't much time and wanted to get past the preliminaries quickly, she shut the car door and began at once to summarize her life for me.

She was 101 or 102 years old, she thought, born and raised to young teen-age in an ancient Native American matriarchal tradition before it began to be systematically destroyed by the missionaries. When they arrived, they took her from her tribe to live with an Anglo family; it was this family who recognized how brilliant she was and sent her to one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

There she earned a doctorate in genetics and became an authority on mutations, among the first scientists to find and study the y chromosome. As our friendship developed, I came to know the intrepid scientist she was as well as the visionary feminist.

Because the 4B movement is inherently a sex-based movement that excludes all males regardless of identity, it dovetails well with the rising backlash against transgender ideology and its incursions by men and boys into women’s spaces and sports. While there continues to be a struggle in our future for women’s liberation from patriarchy, discussions of women’s sex-based rights are now appearing more openly, even from Democrats, who can no longer deny that their anti-woman transgender ideology is costing them elections.

Tumblr radfems/TERFs are circulating a “call to action” to edit the Wikipedia page for the South Korean 4B movement claiming that the current page was written by “TRAs”. Tumblr radfems have idealized the 4B movement for years, that’s where I first learned about it.

The 4B movement Wikipedia article is not going to change unless YOU get off your ass and change it. It’s less than sub par, written by TRAs, and controlled by them too. If enough of you get together and edit, it will be changed. If you want to see a change, message me.
I will say, do not try and edit a million things at once, don’t forget to cite courses and if someone reverts your change, open a talk page article on there and talk about it.

I find this comment by Littman troubling, a desisted or detransitioned youth who still experiences gender dysphoria can participate in her new study. This could include children of anti-trans parents who’ve also gone GC/anti-trans, like what happened with 4thWaveNow's kid.

Tweet by Lisa Littman reads Thank you! Our requirement for participation is that the youth is experiencing gender dysphoria, defined (broadly) as discomfort with one’s birth sex. We do not have requirements about how they identify (trans, nonbinary, not trans, desisted, etc). So, if the child is not currently experiencing gender dysphoria, the parents and child are not eligible. If the child is experiencing gender dysphoria, the family is eligible. I remain very interested in desisters so there will be more studies that focus specifically on desisters and parents.
