Heteronormativity is a big part of it too. People who experience same sex attraction can have platonic relationships with the same sex, so why should it be any different for the opposite sex?

I’m disappointed to hear that you have experienced that. It’s funny how you aren’t even 20 yet but you have been able to ask questions that can bring people of a variety of different age groups together. I can understand why you would be hesitant to share it because what you do is more important.
