It’s a game where you’re trapped in the castle of a mad alchemist and you have to run and hide from his creations while trying to escape.

Also (and this is the most important part), you have a pet dog, and the ending you get depends on how well you treat him.

Looks like the empty retail space across the street from my apartment (formerly a tai chi studio) is finally getting turned into… something?

I grew up on these streets
A ruined street in Raccoon City from the video game Resident Evil 3 (PS1). Shattered glass and toppled traffic cones and emergency signage litters the road and sidewalk. Windows are smashed, points of entry boarded up. Vehicles, including a police car, have been battered by the zombie hordes. The sky is dark and ominous.

Mr. Sardonicus, a campy horror film about a man whose face is frozen into a horrifying rictus grin after a traumatic event and his increasingly amoral attempts to get a doctor to fix it. I watched it on TCM with my dad when I was a kid but had to go to sleep >
