Oh, I deleted my whole account ages ago. I immediately felt better for it 😅

Seconding this translation.

🤣 I mean, I’m pretty open to musical genre attributions, though I know some might say they were more post-Britpop than Britpop, but that’s just being pedantic. Mind you, my favourite band is Ash, and they’re from Northern Ireland, so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Your mother sounds AMAZING! And I truely feel like we would have been great friends in our teenage years. 🤣

Did you by chance ever explore Britpop?

The way I audibly gasped 👀

You know, I don’t think I quite got the first album until after I understood the second. I probably was in my Blink/Green Day era still at the time and not quite sophisticated enough. 🤣

Oooh! That’s a choice. I need to ponder this.

I did reply to Garbage! My teenaged self was obsessed. Obsessed. 🤣

And yes, distance! (Mind you, I’m used to travelling to see bands, but perhaps not quite so far).

I’m just loving the fact that the internet has collectively regarded something as mainstream as a brazen museum jewellery heist as a wholesome breath of fresh air in this fucked-up timeline.

Admittedly this has left me curious about his definition of ‘bad people’ because I don’t see how you can attend a march like that and still fundamentally be a good person.

I was quite curious that the ABC referred to Rockcliff as premier, even when he has not yet formed Government.

It’s a lovely thought!

Right? Nor did we. The book I annotated was a history book, and in the end it made more sense to annotate, underline, and post-it note than it did to re-write the whole book for my notes. Sadly I read mostly ebooks now.

Two thoughts:
1. I’ve only ever annotated one book, in very light pencil, which I still reserve the right to erase
2. Some of the most thought provoking concepts have come from (inked) annotations in niche textbooks from the library, and I only regret I couldn’t use and reference them in papers
