The Kyrou trade shows DB isn't allergic to trading for smaller Defensemen. Seems most likely that they simply didn't have confidence in Samson long term. Whether Schmidt will prove to be any better is an open question (I doubt it), but Samson clearly wasn't in their plans.

Good luck, Suzanna. I wonder if the job of Secretary of State is one elected office where people who generally won't vote for a woman might vote for one, thinking the job is just a secretarial job, and that's a job for women. Whatever works
