"The National Museum of African American History and Culture is not a place that traffics in improper ideology," Clint Smith writes. "It is a museum that recognizes that America has been suffused in improper ideologies for most of its history." https://theatln.tc/81hXXEqK

I’m struck by the Trump administration’s attempt to redefine equality as discrimination against white people. This is a deeply racist idea that *equal outcomes* must be unfair, assuming white people are naturally at the top of the hierarchy.

We all knew that attacking trans people doesn’t defend women but I think it’s important to highlight how brazen the lie is, that in fact attacking trans women is becoming a vehicle for attacking all women, as trans women said it would be.

Some are committed to this "high price of eggs" reason some gave for voting. That's not it. A lot wanted what is happening. Gender, race, chaos, they literally wanted this. Talking about groceries is just more acceptable. What dems should be figuring out is why so many of their voters stayed home.
The most surreal and maddening feature of the campaign was that everyone agreed that high prices were the main issue but the guy explicitly, consistently running on a platform of raising everyone’s prices won voters most concerned about high prices.

We hammered this time and time again and yet.
