Bone scaffold design with 75% of porosity Normalized stiffness vs. Porosity graph in which Gibson & Ashby law is applied. Isotropic scaffolds follow this law independently from the porosity. Normalized stiffness with respect to the Isotropic one vs. Preferential trabecular direction graph. It is possible to see that by tuning the preferential orientation of the trabeculae, the normalized stiffness change.
