Did I misunderstand something in my basic understanding of government? Laws are made by a vote through the house and the senate, signed or vetoed by the president and INTERPRETED BY THE SUPREME COURT. I have never heard that the Supreme Court may make or deny an established law.

Not quite true. The Vietnam war was never a war. The Iraqi war wasn’t a war. And as for the power of the purse, that is also a maybe. Our government is now being shown to be flawed. We were never who we hoped we were. Our politicians have sheepherded us into a false sense of pride. Now what?

If this goes thru it will accelerate Hollywood’s precipitous decline and open the field for new voices with great ideas from other countries. It will end the American monopoly of movies and let creatives move to other countries with new voices.

A nice way to solve that is to have them in Boston. Humans have a tough time walking Boston let alone driving it. And then there is no parking, anywhere, for any reason. The noise wouldn’t be a problem though.
