Based on success in this class I was offered the opportunity to be a future course leader (G1). It is important that we, as feline breeders and fanciers, give back to the community whenever possible.

I was also very appreciative from the course leaders on the push to make my final paper more comprehensive. My choice of special topic was about the genetics of white cats (rebelskog.com/genetics_kit...). Because of this research I realized that our white girl Roewe, might be a tortoiseshell.

We will be keeping Atlas as a rememberance of Norton.

Norton was to be the sire of our two spring litters. about a week before his death we had mated him to Liv. At the time of his death we did not have confirmation of pregnancy.

To our joy and amazement Litter Theta (Norton x Liv) is in honor of Norton.

We had to make a decision in short order on whether to have him undergo a major surgery, and live life with severe, nown, compliciations, or let him go with dignity. We made sure to hold him and let him know he was loved as we said goodbye.

He had a urinary obstruction. We identified it in time and got him to the emergency vet. His toxin level was low, and it should have been a routine unblocking. They were unable to remove the block, after several attempts, by multiple Dr's (and this is a top notch emergency clinic).

Norton was our up-and-coming stud, but he was also a companion to everyone in our family, as well as our other stud Deuces. We were very lucky to have two intact males who were friends.

Her half siblings, Litter Zeta, have adopted her as one of their own. They provide a nice warm place for her when it is nap time, and makes sure she is eating. Denali, is pictured, playing next to Cassiopeia, while she feeds.
