The fact that “frequent” routes go down to once every half hour outside of working hours is RIDICULOUS! No wonder ridership keeps dropping! Stay late after work to socialize and boom, an hour and a half to get home instead of 45 mins!

Agreed. My point is that the system right now is configured to serve downtown rush hour office workers and that demographic is a shrinking. The system needs to help people get around the whole city not just get downtown Monday to Friday. It should be seen as integral infrastructure not an overlay.

I think I know the reason for lower than expected ridership, the system is optimized almost exclusively for “rush hour commuters”. If transit is slow & infrequent outside of peak people won’t use it, as we can see in the data. For example, Line 1 should never run less often than every 4 mins.

I wish the Museum of History would go back to playing IMAX and Omnimax documentaries like it used to. I remember watching films like Fires of Kuwait and a long doc on the Titanic. They could seriously just bring those exact films back and I’d be happen. Re-run ‘90’s IMAX docs!
