Booby Belugas in the deep blue sea,
Tits so wild and tits so free
House lights above and cash tips below
And one taking her drink on-the-go.

For those of you not versed in children's literature this is a PG-13 parody of the children's book/song Baby Beluga :V

If it had gone unchecked, the building would have collapse and thousands of people would have died. No one remembers the building collapse that didn't happen though. Like the woman at the start, the people who care about prevention don't get recognized the same way as when people respond to problems

I was explaining this frustration to my mom one day, who told me a story of a woman in a documentary who caught a major architectural flaw in an office builiding. No one even believed her at first. Eventually the problem was corrected.

Wearing a mask breaks so many chains of transmission, and prevents so much disability and death that we don't see. Instead of recognition, many of us get pushback, ranging from dirty looks to getting sent on involuntary grippy sock vacations for "covid anxiety."
May 19, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I think covid-concious folx think about this a lot. No one will ever say that they can run today because of the person wearing a mask on the bus. Covid-cautious advocates will never get recognized for the absences that didn't happen at work or school.
