I ghostwrite LinkedIn content for B2B climate tech startup executives. 9 clients served in the industry. Net zero nerd.
Just found your substack I think - will start there! 😊

Definitely willing to learn more - where should I start?

Here’s the link to the discussion - mostly on carbon credits in general, but it helped me understand where they fit in to climate action:

Important topic. I have a lot of folks in my audience who love the idea of planting trees … but are skeptical at tech-based approaches. I used to be this way, too, but a panel with CDR experts at ChangeNOW in Paris helped me change my mind. It was helpful to realize we were on the same team.

Tell me — what’s your POV on CDR?

Any points you want to hear more about?

4. Scaling CDR can't wait til after we reduce emissions. If we want these solutions to be ready by 2050, we have to invest now.

3. Nature-based removals (like planting trees) are important — but these ecosystems are fragile. Tech-based approaches are key.

2. Right now, the CDR industry is highly focused on “quality” — what quality means, how to ensure it, etc.

1. It’s not a matter of whether we should reduce emissions OR remove CO2 from the atmosphere. We need both.

They do this in Iceland?! That’s so surprising. Kudos to you though — sounds like you’re taking a responsible approach to your experiment.

Appreciate the coverage of voices from countries most exposed to CBAM. That’s my biggest concern as well.

Honestly, I’m not sure how I would have done that without some extra hours.

Still, I’m glad I can take this weekend off. 😉

Looking forward to:

- Making pancakes w my husband
- Celebrating a birthday with a good friend
- A bit of chill study & writing

The idea was to do this while watching the sun go down.

But then I remembered the Netherlands has no ☀️ in the winter.

So yeah, the “sunset” is more of a symbolic thing.

Do you have any “reflective” routines like this?

Great breakdown. And this kind of tech could be a gamechanger in the energy transition.

YES! We need to share stats like this. We’ve made progress even when we feel so far from the goal.
