I for one am not at all worried that the most powerful people on earth have optimized my society and my brain to be ultra-reliant on the misery machine we keep in our pockets.

The hobbits got married. Our wedding was everything I hoped for: warm, welcoming, fun, beautiful, and magical.

The hobbits are getting married this weekend! Here’s a handful of flowers from our garden that will be making an appearance and a picture of me after getting mani/pedis with my mom and sister.

It may have been the most laid back bachelorette party of all time! Such a lovely evening with my nearest and dearest!

Celebrating the little and big wins today. We’ve been working hard on the garden this year. It’s almost a 1/4 of an acre and that was a lot of me to handle on my own before Adam moved in. Enjoy these progress pics!

It’s be a rough week and a half. Adam was sick and then I got sick. Coming home to a bottle of wine and flowers made me feel all the things. Also California strawberries picked this morning. They taste like candy.

My flowers are blooming. This is one of the few places safe from the Pablo cat. He’s a terror.

My mother threw the most delightful shower yesterday. The weather was literally perfect and Bogle winery was so beautiful. And this morning, I’m eating cake for breakfast.

Jean was an artist and a gardner with prize winning irises. As she got more frail, her daughter came to live with her and one day ripped out all of her irises and threw them in the trash. Neighbors dug them out and years later, when I bought the house, gave them to me. Keep the ghosts happy.

Gardens offer a special kind of magic. Food for the table, magic wands imbued with power from the ground by a 4-year old, and of course flowers to brighten even the darkest times.

To the world:
We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom.

There’s a lot happening in the world and I’m trying to protect the shire. Here’s some of my native CA plants: elderberry, milkweed, ceanothus (that periwinkle color!! 🤩), and yarrow.

Well I’ve been busy planning a hobbit picnic wildflower wedding for June but we managed to make it out for a hike. Check out these native iris!

Well, this weekend was up, down, and all around. But I’m crazy in love with this guy. We checked out the almond blossom festival in Guinda (pronounced Gwinda), put the deposit down on the hall for the wedding, drank some “sultry sippers”, and played some video games (Return to Moria).

Mini waffles with homemade flax meal egg substitute. Not too bad! 1 Tb of ground flaxseed to 3 Tb of hot water and wait 10 min.
