Today I read in the The Guardian that the Department for Education has confirmed the launch of the #NaturalHistoryGCSE

This just after a walk with the dogs when I heard my first Chiffchaff of the year (this biophilia is catching!)

Also featured are Richard Cooper talking about Wetlands as an effective treatment of wastewater and David Tickner talking about a framework for strategic planning.

This work was drawn live in the lecture theatre on my iPad & shared with attendees on a screen in the foyer.

I draw live at events with all sorts of sectors and use reference images all the time - plus especially for horses (I never remember which way the knees bend 😂)

10 years on and I love my job as much as the first time I did it, I’m very proud of the work I’ve done and incredibly grateful and excited to be still drawing live …and answering that question!

Looking back on the image, I can remember standing on stage at the event under a spotlight (which made it really hard to see what colour pen I was choosing!) I remember how fascinating it was plus I REALLY enjoyed drawing the fish (who knew?!?)

So they can re-visit the talk, share it with friends, and use it a springboard to do their own research!
