Theres a couple of different checkboxes for identification really and each type (theres 6 kinds!) have different colours that they show at different stages and its weirdly satisfying even after all this time! Here's the same fibre under a different microscope setting 🤓

YES, it is! It's chrysotile (sometimes called white asbestos) thats in a refractive liquid and polarised light so it does cool colours depending on what type of asbestos it is and its how we identify it in my lab. 🤓
