“Control is just another way of restricting freedom. Freedom to feel what I want and do what I want. Don’t you just want to feast and go wild? Come on!”

Rebecca stepped closer, her eyes wide with manic excitement.

“What a rush! A thrill! It just feels right! Not like every day having to hide…”

“When you put it like that, it does kind of make me sound like a monster.”

Rebecca frowned for a moment. Then smiled again.

“Yes, it’s just like that. Sometimes there’s just a time and a place you’ve got to go, you know? It was just his time.”

She gestures to the bucket, giggling.

“Bye bye!”

“Aren’t they all bad?”

Rebecca pouted, her cigarette coming to the end of its life. She flicked the ashes and watched them as they floated into the dark.

“When they refuse or fight me, that makes them bad. Who could refuse me?”

She glanced at the remains, smiling.

“Serves him right, really.”

“Aw, you’re so sweet to do all this for little old me.”

Rebecca giggled as she watched the work begin. There wasn’t a huge amount left, but it was certainly spread out.

“Careful with that. If you leave any behind I could get into trouble, and then how will we meet up? We’ll forever be apart…”
