They didn’t create a website to debunk her claims, they hosted the official lawsuit response on the website (which is public anyway, it’s available online as public record).

It’s easy to get mixed up if you haven’t looked at the detail of the case & just seen headlines.

.. a reporter, and JB’s business partner Jamie ordered her to stop & not do anything for Wayfarer.

This is quite muddled.
He hired a PR crisis team to contain the issue (as is the norm), not attack. No evidence (as yet) that he did anything & lots of internal messages where JB & rest of team are trying to protect BL as well as JB. One PR woman (who leaked messages to BL) went rogue & spoke to..

It’s hear hear, and comes from “Hear him! Hear him!” To show agreement with what someone has said. 😊

And yes. Media often acts more like propaganda…!

As a former Lib Dem voter in 00s, whose vote helped to bring about the Coalition horror, no. I could never trust the Lib Dems with my vote again. I know many like me.

It’s sad, as they were needed, but they were their own downfall. Can’t blame voters for that.

It’s also what he would do if he were innocent to charges made public.

All info is publicly available anyway as the lawsuit.

It’s what I would do.

However, none of what BL did is what I would do if I were SH.

So I guess it doesn’t tell us anything useful 🤷‍♀️

I don’t believe Baldoni’s team are pushing stories, they don’t need to, the public is interested to read anything written so the media are just coming up with stories and Blake has handed them a lot of material, and there is loads in her past.
February 12, 2025 at 5:41 PM
It’s been like a house of cards.
February 7, 2025 at 10:34 PM
Well never stop that. And besides, for celebrities it’s all about good and bad PR anyway, so that’s just their life. They exploit it all the time. Sometimes it bites them.
February 7, 2025 at 10:33 PM
Personally, I think there is enough information out there to make a fairly informed decision as a bystander. (Not legally speaking)

Many many people have been bullied and exploited in their lives, so cases like this therefore get people interested. People feel a connection over it.

PR matters. He says he’s already lost 3 jobs and Reynolds got him dropped by his agency.

No one should be unfairly subjected to that, and if the case could be over a year away the PR side needs to be fixed.

He’s defending himself. I’m sure we all would. We can’t deny him that.

If she had submitted the complaint in confidence and followed the correct procedure I would agree, but she used leaked (arguable mischaracterised) messages and hearsay to create a take down article with NYT that has ruined his career and life. So waiting only helps one side. This is Hollywood and

I didn’t form an opinion based on whether someone is likeable. It’s irrelevant to me.

Yes, none of us know the full story as we weren’t there but one person in this has had their life ruined.
To ruin someone’s life you need just cause and evidence.
This isn’t a social media spat, it’s serious.
February 4, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Is this a serious question?

All evidence is analysed and considered, with some contradicting & maybe disapproving other evidence.

It’s not ‘more valid’ by some magic virtue eg that he’s a man. To suggest that is insulting to anyone who tries to take a measured approach to get to the facts.
February 4, 2025 at 11:59 AM
Sadly people like certainty and belonging, so this tribal mentality will continue. 🫤

I get very annoyed by fellow feminists who accuse me of letting the side down for wanting fairness and evidence. Testimony is evidence, but on its own it’s not enough especially if elements are disproved.
February 4, 2025 at 11:57 AM
I think because each side believes they are arguing for the truth.

Often people identify with who they consider to be the victim and then confirmation bias creeps in.

I assumed it was true at the start and didn’t really pay attention. Now, I’m led by the evidence I’ve seen.
February 4, 2025 at 11:55 AM
She thought it had no sounded recorded (see her original claim) so she made claims about what he said and how.
Turned out there was sound.

He also seemed awkward and constantly trying to give compliments and talk about their partners.

As a feminist, I care that allegations are honest.
February 4, 2025 at 11:53 AM
She often looks uncomfortable, these scenes are awkward to film anyway -you can’t ruin someone’s life because someone shows a clip that ‘hints’ at them feeling a certain way.
His actions are what we are questioning to decide if he is guilty of SH.
She made untrue claims about this interaction.
February 4, 2025 at 11:49 AM
This all seems like it’s going to plan… 😞
February 4, 2025 at 11:43 AM
I think some people I’ll be sacked but I expect the publication will survive. For now. The damage to its credibility is permanent.
February 2, 2025 at 2:30 AM
Yes I get what you mean. I was just relieved to see content creators caveating it when they quoted her and explicitly saying they don’t agree with her.

Sadly, if anyone doesn’t side with BL they get accused of siding with an abuser, so that in itself pushes people away from a more liberal crowd.
February 2, 2025 at 2:29 AM
It’s pretty damning. And they’ve left themselves wide open with the meta data and source code.
February 2, 2025 at 2:27 AM
After what he’s released I’m not sure it’s too early. Not now. Both sides need reputation for their livelihoods so it’s normal to want to defend oneself, so we can’t expect them to wait over a year for a court case, especially when info was leaked already by BL/RR & NYT.
February 2, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Surely ‘the room’ is his life and family, and he should be allowed to defended himself.

By all means say you don’t believe him despite what he’s released, but suggesting he shouldn’t say anything and avoiding defend himself is just an odd take.
