Artist and Ocean Activist using materials that would otherwise go into the landfill♻️
I enjoy making coiled baskets with collected marine debris. The material makes it a bit challenging but that makes it fun.

The time I made a gown out of plastic bags for a fashion show in Boston and the artist running the show “misplaced”it.

These are the only photos I have of it. One on me and one on the model at the event. :(

“Plastic Abyss” is a rag rug weaving mash up with some handmade plastic bag dammit dolls stuck in the tangle.

I’m not usually a pink person but someone donated 50 breast cancer survivor T-shirts from a past event so I had to make T-shirt yarn💗

I visited the Fuller Craft Museum where they have a great show called “Waste Not Want Not in the Anthropocene”.

This amazing sculpture is by Ann Weber. It’s cardboard and staples.
I really love the 3D cardboard forms!
Great scale!♻️💚

Im going to post a completed piece of fiber art/sculpture every day for a while.
I’m still hoping that Bluesky feed will be more art than news and politics.
