I have knitted up almost all of my odd balls of sock yarn. I've been using motifs from this book because fancy socks rock.

Pretty food. Curried winter squash hand pies are little portable pockets of savory flavor. Now I only have 9 more turban squash to eat. They're lined up on a shelf in the garage like other people line up tools.

The polar vortex has arrived. I'm glad I went grocery shopping early. It was crazy busy and people were testy. Temps dropped 30° in a couple of hours and it started snowing hard about 4:30. I think I'll stay home til it warms up. Tuesday?
