Our 2025 State of Ageing report is now available!

The report paints a picture of the older population in England, using a variety of national data sources, and shows that quite simply, where you are born determines how long you live and how well you age.

Getting older can have its challenges. Being treated negatively because of your age should never be one of them.

We know that once we're over 50 this experience is common. Every area of our life is affected - work, health, friendships and more.
Over 50 and...unemployable? Overqualified? Surprisingly tech savvy? Too old to wear that? Told to slow down? Sadly, these experiences are common. But it's not part of ageing. It's ageism. And it's all around us. Even if we don't always notice it. Everyone deserves to age without limits. Let's make it a reality. You can do something today... Notice it: From images in the media to phrases people use. Challenge it: On social media or in conversation, let's question these stereotypes. Change it: Join us, take action and be part of creating change.
